2- How do I send you my resume?

You could input your resume online in the format available at jobsnet.com.pk by clicking on the link -Input your CV online.Alternatively you could send a hard copy (on paper) by post.Please do not send us your CV on a floppy as the floppy could get corrupted in route and would delay the processing of the resume.Also please do not e-mail it to us at any of the email addresses listed at our site since it may get lost amongst the 1000s of emails that we receive every day.

3- In what format do I send you my resume?

It is preferable to send us your resume in the format available online as mentioned above by clicking on the link-Input your CV- on the jobsnet home page.This has a character limit so keep that in mind while you input your CV online.You could study the format offline and input later.This format helps maintain brevity of your CV which benefits you and the recruiter.You get to focus your experience within the specified format.The recruiters get the information that is relevant quickly, as they do not and will not scan through a detailed CV for short listing.A detailed CV can be provided by you later once you have been short listed.

If you prefer to send a hard copy, you could send it in the format that you have prepared.However, there are two points to note in this context:

*- Inputting your CV online reduces processing time (no additional time taken in data entry).

*- The content is what you input and does not require editing at our end, so you get what you want.

4- How do I make the payment?

Sending us your resume either by inputting online or by post is the first step.It does not tell us what to do with your resume unless you specify which service you want.Anyone can input their resume/CV which is a free facility.However, without corresponding payment for a particular service your resume will just be part of our internal database.This could be accessed by special clients, but to proactively contact recruiters, it is better that you use our paid services.Once you decide the services you want you can inform us along with sending us your payment by local cheque/payorder (for Karachi customers) or Demand Draft (for customers residing outside Karachi), in the name of Jobsnet.com.pk or Dhedhi's Human Resource Training and Placement Centre.

5- How do I know that the service I asked for has been completed?

Once the service that you asked for is completed, we will send you an e-mail to inform about this status.

6- What is the success rate of getting a job through these resume services?

The success rate of getting a job through these resume services varies greatly.There are examples of people who have received interview calls in 48 hours, others who have received 20 to 25 interview calls and still others who have received only 3-4 interview calls.

The success rate depends to a great extent on 3 factors i.e.the quality of your CV, the market position of your skill set, and your performance in the interview.

These resume services cannot guarantee a job but they maximise your chances of finding the right job by ensuring that your CV reaches the maximum number of recruiters who will contact you when your CV matches a job profile available with them.

1- What is the difference between storing my CV in the Resume Manager, inputting it online and uploading my CV?

Storing your CV in the Resume Manager is a service that provides you the convenience of applying for jobs online.As a new user you will need to provide a username and password for saving your CV in the Resume Manager on the site.Once you get registered and receive your user name and password you can access the CV whenever you need to apply online for any vacancy/job posted at jobsnet.com.pk, by typing out your username and password.The Resume Manager service is free and confidential.Your CV can be accessed, viewed or modified only by entering your username and password.

On the other hand, inputting your CV online, as mentioned earlier, is just storing your CV on our offline database to enable you to use any of our paid value added services.Inputting the CV online is free; however this is just to facilitate quicker processing of your CV for any of our paid resume services.

Uploading is one of the paid value added services where you pay for displaying your CV on the site.Confidentiality can be maintained as mentioned earlier by not giving your name or the name of the organisation where you are currently employed.

2- What do I get from this service?

This service displays your resume on jobsnet.com.pk for a period of 6 months / 1year depending on the period of service you have taken from the date of upload.Your resume is then visible to everyone who visits that section of the site.The CV is displayed in a specific brief format.You can provide your detailed CV later to recruiters who ask for it.

3- How long does it take you to upload my CV on jobsnet.com.pk?

The average time taken is about 48 hours from the date we receive your payment for this service along with your CV.

4- How do I ensure confidentiality of my identity?

As the CV is visible to everyone, you can maintain confidentiality by not including your name or the name of the company where you are currently employed.Similarly, you could get yourself a discreet e-mail address that does not reveal your name straight away.

5- How do I view my resume which has been uploaded on the site?

You can either view your resume by clicking on the link-search resumes-in the recruiters section of the jobsnet.com.pk home page or by entering your email id at the search window given at the bottom of the page, specifically for searching resumes only.If you have clicked on the link- search resumes - you will get a listing of the various categories in which resumes are listed.You can then click on the category relevant to your resume.Your resume may be displayed in more than one category, if appropriate e.g.Topmanagement and finance.

6- Does my CV get uploaded automatically when I input it online?

No.Inputting your CV online just ensures that your CV is saved and stored in our database offline.You will receive an Order ID from the server for identification purposes once you have entered the CV online.However, no action will be taken for this CV unless you specify what service you want along with your payment.To avail of the upload service where, your CV will be displayed on jobsnet.com.pk you need to inform us that you want this done.Upload is a paid service, whereas inputting your CV online is free.

7- How can I make changes in my uploaded CV?

You need to send us an email with the changes referring to your customer code number (which you would have got along with your receipt).Email the changes to us at. For any changes required in your CV, you will need to inform us as the software currently does not make a provision for you to edit your CV yourself.You are entitled to make up to 2 changes, at no extra charge.

1- How do you send my resume/CV?

Your resume/CV is sent to the placement agencies/companies by email in text format.We just forward the CV, and do not offer job matching with this service.For CVs sent as hard copies, we scan the CV, save it as a text file and then mail it to the placement agencies/companies.

2- Do you change my CV before forwarding it to the placement agencies?

We do not edit the content of your CV unless it is longer than 3-31/2 pages.The only information that we remove before forwarding the CV is salary information and references as these are irrelevant at this stage.It is therefore, preferable, that you input your CV online in order to avoid any changes or editing at our end.

3- How do I know which placement agencies/companies my CV has been sent to?

Once your resume has been forwarded to the respective placement agencies/companies, no changes can be made.

4- Can I make changes to my CV?

As the CV is visible to everyone, you can maintain confidentiality by not including your name or the name of the company where you are currently employed.Similarly, you could get yourself a discreet e-mail address that does not reveal your name straight away.

5- How long will you take to complete this resume forwarding service?

The average time taken to complete the resume forwarding services is 7-10 days.CVs sent as hard copies are responsible for this processing period, which is why inputting your CV online is preferable for a quicker completion of the service.

6- How do I know when you have sent out my CV to the placement agencies?

We will inform you by email when the forwarding service has been completed.

7- When can I expect to get a response from the placement agencies?

Within 10 days of our having completed the service, you can expect to start getting a response from the placement agencies.They will contact you directly.You can expect a better response if you have provided an email address in your CV.Placement agencies/recruiters could contact you anytime depending on when they have a suitable job or vacancy so do not expect all responses to come in right at the beginning.

1- What is the geographical distribution of these domestic placement agencies?

These are placement agencies that are located all over Pakistan.Most of them are located in the metros.However, they recruit nationally depending on their clients and the vacancies at different times.

2- What is the difference between upload and 500dom/800dom?

Upload is a service that displays your CV at jobsnet.com.pk for any recruiter to see such as placement consultants, Human resources managers etc.Your CV is also visible to managers of companies planning to enter Pakistan or those companies who are already established and running there business in Pakistan .On the other hand, 500dom / 800dom is a service that forwards your resume to 500 / 800 domestic placement agencies respectively.

1- What is Job Mail?

This is a service where we send you a set of jobs that match your qualifications and requirements.It is useful for job-seekers who are unable to surf jobsnet.com.pk due to time constraints.

2- How do you select the jobs?

We have developed a software that picks out the first short-list of jobs basis the keywords provided by you.These search keywords are:

• Educational qualifications (such as B.com, MBA, M.Sc, BE, B.Tech etc.)
• Field of expertise (such as marketing, finance, etc.)
• Years of experience (i.e.number of years of past work experience)
• Industry (i.e.industry that you would like to join such as power, telecom, FMCG etc.)
• Post (designation specified in vacancy if applicable such as Vice-President)
• Location (Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, etc.)

Once this first short-list has been generated, we do a manual scan to further short-list only those jobs relevant to you.

3- How many jobs will you send me?

We send out a set of jobs to you, once a week for the period for which you have taken this service.The average number of jobs is 10 per week.This figure, of course, varies with the number of vacancies received at our end, in the particular job category relevant to you.These jobs are from the ones on our site at jobsnet.com.pk.

4- How will you inform me about the jobs?

We will e-mail the jobs to you right to your mail box.It is necessary, therefore, that you provide us with your e-mail address, along with the search keywords when you ask for this service.This service is not provided by way of regular postal system.

2- Do I need to send you my CV to avail of this service?

Yes.You need to send us your existing CV as detailed as possible.We need details more than given in the section at jobsnet.com.pk where you have Input your CV online.The details will enable us to prioritise your work experience and achievements etc.in order to make your CV brief as well as provide relevant information to the potential employer.You could send us a hard copy of your CV by post or email it to us at info@jobsnet.com.pk

3- Can I view a sample CV or the format developed by you, before I decide to avail of this service?

We do not offer a "canned" CV format that is just transferred to different customers.Each CV is customised to suit the background, experience and career objective of the candidate.We regret, therefore, that we cannot allow a sample CV or format to be viewed by other customers as we maintain confidentiality of our clients who avail of this service.

4- How long will this service take to complete?

The service will take minimum 10 days.Depending on your current CV, you may need to respond to certain questions covering any information gaps such as achievements at work etc.The span to create a new CV for you would depend on how long you take to respond to these queries. You would appreciate that to really make a difference to your CV; the basic information will need to be promptly provided by you as per the requirements of our resume development team.The resume development process may go through a number of iterations until you get a CV that you are completely satisfied with.

5- How many times can I use this service?

We provide this service as a one-time service when the new CV is created for you.Subsequently, if any changes are required, we advise you to make them at your end to the new, improved CV which we had provided to you.
